Arriving to Wind Finland
Our doors swing wide at 8:30 AM (UTC+3).
This year’s Wind Finland event will be held at Kaapelitehdas, with access through The Glass Courtyard lobby. Look out for the distinctive violet Wind Finland flags marking the entrance.
Location: Kaapeliaukio 3, 00180 Helsinki.
This year the event will be held in “Kaapelitehdas”. Situated in Helsinki’s Ruoholahti district, Cable Factory was the biggest building in Finland when it was completed in 1954. Initially it was a production site for marine cables. Later on, Finland’s first supercomputer was located here. Nowadays, Cable Factory is a place of culture, events, and museums. Cable Factory is easily reachable by metro or tram.
At the moment, Finland does not impose any restrictions on entry to the country because of the COVID-19 epidemic. All restrictions on entry have been lifted.
Helsinki Airport has multiple transport connections to Helsinki metropolitan area and around Finland. Whether you arrive at the airport by car, train, taxi, bus, or bike, you will have an easy access to the terminal.

The closest taxi rank is at the Ruoholahti metro station. If you book a taxi from Cable Factory, ask to be collected on Kaapeliaukio 3 or on the Tallberginkatu side.

Please note that according to our cancellation terms, all the tickets and partnerships have 14 day return policy. Cancellations must be made two weeks before the event. However, you can change the name of the ticket or follow the event and network via live stream.
Program and Venue
Wind Finland comprises two primary areas: the Seminar Hall and the Exhibition Hall.
The Seminar Hall serves as the venue for our seminar program during the day and transforms into the setting for the Taaleri Karaoke Evening.
The Exhibition Hall is the epicenter of networking activities and features dining areas and a bar for your convenience.
Upstairs, you’ll discover a tranquil space suitable for meetings and relaxation.
Dining is situated at the far end of the Exhibition area, where we have eight buffet lines, including a designated station for special dietary needs. You have the option to savor your meal while standing or taking a seat. Additional seating is available on the upper level for your convenience.
Throughout the day, our offerings include a delightful breakfast, coffee breaks, a coffee-accompanied lunch, a special treat in celebration of Cinnamon Bun Day, and as the day winds down, a selection of cocktail bites and sparkling wine.
For dinner, we present an buffet accompanied by a couple of glasses of wine.
Our cuisine showcases the flavors of local Finnish ingredients, featuring fish and game.
Our bar offers a variety of beverages, including mild, strong, and non-alcoholic options. The bar officially commences service at 5:00 and remains open until 00:30. We only accept card payments.
Networking in Wind Finland
We’ve allocated much time for networking, including breaks, an extended lunch, a dedicated cocktail hour, and the entire evening.
You can leverage our Networking App to discover new contacts and schedule meetings.
Additionally, our spacious partner area offers plenty to see, and right in the heart of the exhibition area, you’ll discover the Meeting Point.
If you’re searching for a peaceful space, we recommend exploring the rooms on the upper floor.
Between four and six o’clock, we extend a warm welcome to participants of the Recruitment event. Feel free to join us and connect with the participants near the Finnish Wind Power Association booth.
Seminar and livestream attendees will receive a link to the Networking App on September 29th. This app is accessible on mobile devices and facilitates networking with fellow guests.
It connects individuals who share common interests and enables participants to virtually engage with companies in the Exhibition area.
How to join the Recruiting Event?
A Recruiting Event will be organized beside the seminar to attract new talents to the wind power industry. The recruitment event will take place at 16-18 o’clock in the networking area of the Wind Finland event. There, job seekers can meet companies within the sector.
At the beginning of the side event, the job seekers can tour the partner booths. You’ll recognize a job seeker from their green badge. If you’re a partner, make sure you have material about your vacancies and career opportunities available in your booth!
At 17 o’clock, after the seminar has ended, we all gather in the networking area for a cocktail speech given by Fortum.
If you’re not a partner but would like to meet the job seekers, please take some material about your vacancies and career opportunities with you and come to the Finnish Wind Power Association’s booth from 17.30-18, where we’ll organize Recruiting Speed-Dates. There, the employers and applicants have the chance to meet and discuss.
The Recruiting Event ends at 18, and we’ll continue the evening program with our Wind Finland guests.
You will find a large Meeting Point sign on the ceiling in the corner of the exhibition area. This makes it easier to find your colleague in a crowd.

If you hold a ticket exclusively for the seminar, we extend an invitation to join us for a Cocktail gathering following the seminar, scheduled from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
For those with evening tickets, you are also cordially invited to join the Cocktail event starting at 5:00 PM.

There is no official dress code at our event. You can come as you are. However, as a tip, most of our guests wear business casual.

Wind Finland 2024

Wind Finland is the most significant event in Finland dedicated to wind power. With over 700 participants from over 12 countries, the event provides an opportunity to meet other people in the industry and learn from the latest winds. Cocktails and an Evening Event with dinner and entertainment follow the seminar day, making it a full day of wind power and networking within the industry.

Kai Mykkänen is the Minister of Climate and the Environment of Finland since June 2023. Prior to this, he was the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the National Coalition Party. Mykkänen has worked as the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development 2016-2018 and as the Minister of Interior 2018-2019. He was also in response of the National Coalition’s energy policy under the previous government. Mykkänen has also worked for instance at Sampo Bank in Russia, at the East Office of Finnish Industries in St. Petersburg and at the Confederation of Finnish Industries in Helsinki.
Mykkänen describes himself as a pro-market, pro-environment reformer. Finland has decided to ban the use of coal by 2030. Mykkänen took the initiative, and he was also in response of National Coalitions’ energy and climate issues.
