Here’s a brief introduction to our first speakers:
- Anna Häger, Ilmatar Energy – Host
As Ilmatar Energy’s Regional Manager, Anna leads the company’s development of offshore wind power in the Gulf of Bothnia. Anna is passionate about stakeholder engagement and facilitating the future energy system transition towards renewable energy sources with clear communication and engagement between multilevel stakeholders in a bottom-up and top-down perspective.We’re extremely happy to have Anna onboard with us to navigate successfully through the whole seminar day. - Eva Julius-Philipp, Vattenfall Europe Windkraft GmBH
We will have a whole session dedicated to sustainability of offshore wind power development and as the director of the Environment & Sustainability Unit of the Business Area Wind in Vattenfall, Eva will be opening the session with the topic of Sustainable Offshore windfarms – what does it mean and how to get there.With a long background in science, Eva’s theoretical and practical experience will provide a broad perspective when it comes to sustainability issues. - Anna Klemelä, Baltic Sea Action Group
After that, Anna will take us on a tour in the Baltic sea. With specialization in underwater marine biodiversity, Anna will give us an overview at the characteristics and biodiversity of the Baltic sea, and what should be taken into account when constructing offshore wind power there in her presentation Marine biodiversity, climate change mitigation and green transition. - Matias Forss, Kalliolaw Attorneys Ltd
We’ll also be diving into the world of projects and contracts. As counsel of Kalliolaw Attorneys, Matias will come to share us insights about Contract practice in Finnish marine construction. With a lot of experience in advising industrial and construction companies as well as institutional investors in construction, real estate and environmental law, Matias will give a strong word about how to avoid contract disputes. - Anni Mikkonen & Heidi Paalatie, Finnish Wind Power Association
We’ll also have a good overview of the current status as Anni and Heidi from the Finnish Wind Power Association will give an outlook of the offshore wind power development in Finland. Anni and Heidi are among the leading wind power experts in Finland and have been there to witness the Finnish wind power growth during the past ten years.
