On 30 September 2025, Finland’s largest wind power event gathers over 700 participants from 300+ companies at Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki. The full program is out combining high-level international perspectives with practical insights, focusing on four themes shaping the future of wind and renewable energy:
Politics – Europe, Finland, and the road ahead
Wind energy remains central to Finland’s climate ambitions and Europe’s clean energy strategy. This autumn in Wind Finland 2025, we have the privilege of having the Minister of Climate and the Environment, Sari Multala, to deliver a keynote speech on Finland’s role in the transition, while experts from WindEurope and Renewables Finland explore EU-level regulation and its impact on national markets. Adding a global perspective to the discussion, Lauri Myllyvirta, Co-founder of the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air, will explore how China’s clean energy boom, alongside new policy and grid constraints, is shaping global energy markets and influencing renewable deployment across Europe.
Security & Resilience – Crisis-proof energy
From geopolitical tensions to force majeure, the energy sector faces growing risks. With the lead of Pekka Tolonen from Helen Oy, this session brings together experts from WindEurope, European Ukrainian Energy Agency, Fingrid, and National Emergency Supply Agency to explore how we can ensure safe, reliable, and continuous energy production in uncertain times, and what it takes to build a truly resilient system.
Cyber Security – When the unexpected happens
Cyber attacks are a growing threat, and the energy industry is no exception. Take part in this narrative-driven session led by Maren Dolva from PeakWind and follow through a realistic cyberattack scenario to hear actionable insights on how to detect, respond to, and recover from threats to critical infrastructure.
Chasing Viability – Finding profits in volatile markets
In today’s volatile power markets, success is no longer about how much you generate, but how wisely you operate. This session explores new commercial strategies that drive profitability: Atte Pekkala from Gasum highlights how shifting focus from megawatts to margin can unlock hidden value, while Sergey Ilyukhin from Fortum demonstrates how curtailing production during negative spot prices can benefit both PPA counterparties. Adding a broader perspective, Bo Normark, Industrial Strategy Executive at INNO and a key figure behind the European Battery Alliance, examines the rapid evolution of the battery industry and the strategic role of the Nordics in this transformation.
