On September 30th 2025 Wind Finland brings together specialists of the wind power industry in Helsinki.

The seminar will gather up to 750 guests in Kaapelitehdas to share new ideas and learn from our top speakers about the latest winds. Cocktails and a networking dinner follow the seminar day making it a full day of wind power within the industry.

Host

Kinga is a Partner in EY’s Global Renewables Team and leads the Energy & Industrials sector for EY-Parthenon/ Transactions & Corporate Finance in Europe Central. She is based in Helsinki and has been co-leading EY-Parthenon’s corporate finance activities in the energy sector in the Nordics for the last c. 10 years. Kinga has more than 20 years of international experience advising private equity, corporate and public sector clients on both domestic and complex cross-border mergers & acquisitions (M&A), debt financings, capital raisings and strategic assignments in the broader (renewable) energy, low carbon, infrastructure and circular economy sectors. Before joining EY, Kinga worked in Structured and Project Finance at KfW IPEX-Bank, MUFG Bank and DEPFA Bank in London and Dublin. Besides being deeply passionate about the energy transition, she is also committed to promoting diversity and inclusiveness in business and serves as a sponsor for the EY Women. Bo, Industrial Strategy Executive at INNO, is a leading expert in the power industry with extensive global experience and a pivotal role in the creation of the European Battery Alliance. A member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and honorary doctor at KTH, he has been recognized for his groundbreaking work in smart grids and battery systems. In his presentation, Normark explores the rapid evolution of the battery industry driven by electrification, its impact on existing and emerging industries, and the strategic role of the Nordic countries in this transformation.

Minister of Climate and the Environment Sari Multala leads the Ministry of the Environment. Within the Finnish Government, she is responsible for matters related to the environment, construction, and housing. These include climate policy, nature, and water protection, preventing environmental pollution, circular economy, construction and land use, and housing policy. Minister Multala is also responsible for matters covered by the Energy Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

Lauri is the co-founder and lead analyst of Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air, an independent research organization tracking energy, emissions and air pollution trends across Asia and Europe. During the past three years, Tuomas has held overall responsibility for the transmission system operation in Finland, successfully managing various challenges presented by the energy transition to the Finnish electricity system. While the main focus has been on maintaining and enhancing the reliable and efficient everyday operation of the electrical power system and electricity market, there has been a continuously increasing emphasis on exceptional operational situations, preparedness, and overall resilience. The large-scale integration of renewables presents both challenges and opportunities for normal, daily operation electrical power systems, and this applies equally to preparedness and resilience related aspects. Before his current position, Tuomas worked with Fingrid in various roles within the main business processes: planning, asset management, and market development. He also spent some years working in academia and the technology industry between his positions at Fingrid.

Cyber security: A practical discussion to incident response

In this engaging session, Marita from Netox Oy will share his insights on cybersecurity in wind energy and how to effectively respond to incidents. With a long experience in various roles in IT, cybersecurity, and data protection, in her current role at Netox, Marita consults clients on data protection, administrative information security, and NIS2 challenges, among other things. Her technical background helps her better understand complex environments where everything affects everything else. There are also increasing legal requirements for operators, and it takes work to coordinate everything in a useful way. Providing concrete help to customers and increasing their understanding of the topic at hand is a matter close to Marita’s heart.

Curtailment of wind production in the spot market

With nearly two decades of experience in the energy industry, Sergey has spent the past 2,5 years developing Fortum’s wind and solar business. Among other things, he has been contributing to PPA product development and sales activities from business area point of view. Sergey previously worked in Fortum with power market analysis, B2B sales, project management, and corporate strategy development. In his presentation, Sergey will explore how curtailing production during negative spot prices can generate added value for both PPA counterparties.
